


I am surprised because it did not seem to be the best choice in the other comparisons I've watched - notably, of course, the Garritan CFX, NI Noire, and the non-sample-based Pianoteq. But a fun one!Īnyway, I agree that the Ravenscroft is the better VST in this comparison for all the reasons you mentioned. Yet I think the "hunt" for something new, in a new area (as VSTs are new for me), is part of the thrill! I have to remind myself that practice and actually being able to play things is what will make a great sound, not the method used to generate it. I think it is an illness I have! The choices (and in some cases, costs!) are overwhelming. I've been watching comparison videos for weeks, and I like the longer ones with detailed discussion. I'm new to the VST world and am thinking of investing in one to go with my new CA79.
